" The most important thing you will ever have is good values." 


              Having good values and having good manners are a total different subject. One thing is saying verbal expressions like 'thank you" and "please" and the other is having moral beliefs that make you who you are. For example choosing between what you feel and what is right. In the video shown they presented an example where you have to choose between saving your dog or a human stranger. In my perspective I would have saved the dog because they dog is a part of my life and ,y future but he right thing to do would be saving the human because it just makes sense I don't know. Probably because you got the person killed if you save your dog instead of the person. Some good values that is is crucial to have is honesty, kindness. and respect. 

“Only those live who do good.”

           

There might be about billions and billions of people in this world, but some are just here to be here. Have you ever heard about a quote that says “ not all that die are dead and not all that live are alive.” This quote relates to only those who do good live because you are living your life how you want it. IF you decide to go the wrong path you aren’t living at all you are just wandering around earth making those who do good do better. When you choose to live your life doing good you are making a mark in this world. You might die, but you won’t be dead because your legacy lives on to those you knew you and those who you helped in the world. You are only truly living if you decide to be a light in someone’s cloud. You have a purpose once you realize doing good is what keeps you alive.

  The Sting of a Scorpion

In this short memory of Patrick Kearon he talks about a time when he disobeyed his parents on a trip to the Arabian Peninsula.  His mother had told him to always wear shoes when he was going to walk around in the desert sand, but that one time he decided to be rebellious and lazy that he wore his sandals to walk around instead. He was later stung by a scorpion and had to suffer the pain for more than two hours until they got to the hospital. Patrick was fortunate enough that his parents were nearby to carry him and take him to the hospital. But if he had been further away he would of had to suffer more pain and the consequences would of been more severe. This story that Patrick told us teaches us all that Choosing the wrong and being disobedient leads to more than just pain. It affects the people around you when you decide to do bad choices. Older people have already passed through teen years and pressure so they know what they are telling you when they say “do this” and “don’t do this.”
