LPN { Licensed Practical Nurse }
Duties and Responsibilities:
Most LPN work in health care facilities, hospitals, doctor’s office, and nursing homes. Their duties and responsibilities is to provide routine care, observe patients’ health, assist doctors and registered nurses, and communicate with patients and their families. They work under supervision of registered nurses and doctors.
Salary:
$43,170 annually.
Education:
- Obtain a diploma, certificate, or degree
- Complete an approved education program
- Pass the NCLEX-PN
- Seek professional certification
- Enter work force and additional training
- Get a postsecondary nondegree
Demand or Need of Profession:
Work of profession of a LPN is projected to grow about 16 percent as of 2014.
Reflection:
I think I would like to become a licensed practical nurse, because I always wanted to help people. Becoming a nurse would be a great way to help people get well.
