St. Patrick's Day
Saint Patrick was known for converting many Irish people into Christianity. He did not try to make Irish forget their beliefs but he thought he had a mission of teaching Irish more about Christianity. He edited some of the symbols of Ireland and the original priests got mad so he was put into jail several times. Though he escaped every time. Patrick was able to build schools and churches that would teach people about Christianity. He died on March 17 and that is why we celebrate Saint Patrick's day on the 17 of march. The purpose of St. Patrick and the whole wearing green thing is to Celebrate the Roman Catholic priest day, in old times leprechauns would pinch people who were abstainers so now people who do not wear green are pinched due to that idea.
