Student Success Statement By Thomas  Carlyle
" A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."

This quote has a lot to say besides comparing a goal to a ship. It teaches us that a goal needs to have a plan in order to be accomplished and persevered. When you have a goal it is not going to be completed unless you know where you are going to start. For example if you want to grow your hair long enough for the summer it is not going to grow overnight. You have to plan step by step what to do.You can start by stop burning your hair and using oils that will help the growth of the hair. No goal is achieved without building blocks. In my own experience I had this goal of not texting my ex boyfriend for a month and I will have the honor to complete it on Thursday if I do not text him. That is because I have a plan of what to do on the days that I feel like texting him and I know that I've come to far to end up not complete my stupid goal for nothing. Just like I cannot text my ex another goal I have is to end the school year with all A's. I know that it is much more beneficial if I finish most of my assignments first than to waste it on a something that will take me nowhere. The plan I have memorized in my head will help me achieve them little by little each day.
