" I Trust That My Hard Work Will Pay Off "
Image result for hard work

Tyler Hawks is a Brigham Young University Basketball Player who has never been a talented player, but worked hard to be the best of him team. He would practice with his dad bright and early in the morning and practice the same shots over and over and over. There was times where he made 143 baskets with no misses. His hard work got him into the 2nd player named Mr.Basketball two times in a row, I guess that's a thing now. However, he was committed to church and god so when he got the opportunity to go to a mission he took it with no doubt. He was able to go to a Philippines mission for two years and become the BYU leading scorer. It is quite true that hard work pays off because all his determination got him to where he is now.

“ I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy, I was trying to do what was right.”

                                                        Dean Smith

One of the greatest basketball coaches was Dean Smith. By greatest it doesn’t technically mean he was best known because of all the games he won, but because he was a great men indeed. He wasn’t trying to be a legacy himself, he wanted to do what was right for all the team players he coached. He taught them how to have good character and not g=curse and always do what is right. Dean Smith wanted to be remembered as a man who did what was right for people not for the way he coached his players. Although he was a man that everybody appreciate. In his last days he was awarded and people clapped for him. They showed respect for dean Smith who valued his team players more than the title. Today as I learned about Dean Smith I can reflect that he shows a great example for many people. He is someone who should always be remembered, because he not only made a great life for those he coached but also made a great life for those who watched.

What is Veterans Day?
Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World war l
{November 11} to honor US veterans and victims of all wars.
When is it?
Veterans Day takes place on November 11th.
What is the purpose of Veterans Day?
The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor military veterans of the US.
Why is it important to show honor on Veterans Day?
It is important to keep honoring Veterans Day because it's a way of acknowledging the sacrifices veterans have made  while serving the country. Without veterans we would not have the freedom we have today. Basically they give their life up for our rights.
List several ways to show honor and respect on Veterans Day.
  • Attend a Veterans  event on your area
  • Donate to the USO
  • Fly a flag
  • Place flowers on a veterans grave
  • Volunteer at a VA hospital

I think honoring and making a holiday is a great way to show respect for those who died serving the country. Many people retire after they make it through the military but they usually have lost a limb. Talking to veterans after they have served the US is a great thing to do. Sometimes talking about their memories is all that is needed to make a veteran happy. Without them many innocent lives could of been killed although by risking their life isn’t a good idea their bravery is something you can’t compare anything to. There are times when veterans have a family of their own and they usually have to make sure they come out alive for their children. I think veterans are what come as close to becoming a superhero. (;
