“ Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG is NEVER RIGHT”

This quote by Russell M. Nelson, is one of many lessons he tries to teach about right and wrong. Wrong is always going to be a bad decision, it is not right to believe if you smoke, cheat, or lie it is okay because everybody is doing it. This is a dumb thing to believe because the consequences you will face are so much different than everyone else’s consequences. If you smoke because your friend did, you will probably end up in the hospital and die because the effect of the drug was different. That is why you have to think about what you are risking when you choose to do the wrong thing everybody is doing. An example I can think of is when the teacher leaves the room and you are taking a test. Everyone would start asking for the answers of the test. That is a situation you are willing to risk, rather not do what everyone else is doing or tag along. I think it is a greater test to see if you are a CTW or CTR person. If you choose to not cheat your conscience is cleaner than the ones who did. Probably you will be granted and probably you will not, the greatest gift is knowing you chose the right.

Educating the Body, Mind, and Character

“ Of all the work that is done, or that could be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the BODY, the MIND, and above all CHARACTER, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destiny of the nation.”                                                 Theodore Roosevelt

We are always thinking about the future and what will earth look like in a few years. We think about what our country will become in a few years, because we are the future. We walk around earth thinking about all the things we can come up with to improve humanity. But in reality the only thing we can do is educate our mind, body, and character. We are the ones who need to improve, not the material evolving earth. Destiny is all parts of what we choose to become. Our character is what defines what our future holds and what we do for others. We can improve our country by lending a hand to those in need. And that is done by educating our character and what we think. The future is what we want it to be. So if we want people to stop having illnesses we start off my educating our body and eating healthy. Spiritually what helps us live is hope, hope that things will get better eventually and that is what we need to do for our country and the nation. We don’t need flying cars, or teleporters, what we need is us. We are what gets to write the future.

               My Winter Break

During my winter break I spent time trying to finish all the episodes of The Vampire Diaries, which I did. Since I didn’t have homework I was capable of doing more stuff. For xmas eve I spent the night at my aunt's house for a family night. We ate and had a bonfire, 3 days after we celebrates my brother's birthday on the 27th. His cake was so delicious it was the first time I actually ate it all because i am not a fan of cake. I did my best not to text certain people and to spend more time going out. That's what I always say and I always end up staying at home. I went to the mall and ps. I bought shoes and a bomber jacket and some other apparel. I was happy to Know it was the first time I bought everything with my own money. I wanted to work for winter break but I wasn’t able to because it is hard to find a job for a 14 year old girl. For New Years eve we didn’t do that much of a celebration as other years but we stayed up till 12 and yeah. For the rest of the week we basically slept ate good food and duh watch movies. I recently started watching Girl Meets World from Disney channel. It is pretty cool and funny, I got sick during the last couple of days and so I had a 13 mile race which was the 1st race I passed Lissbeth. I would of liked to go out more with my friends but  sometimes it is better at home with not so fake surroundings.  I learned many lessons these couple of days and wish they’d help me grow throughout these months left of freshman year.

“When you tell One Lie it Leads to Another”

If you ever told a lie you know what this quote is trying to prove, because when you tell a lie you are not only lying about that 1 thing, you have to make up more lies to cover up that small lie. Even if it was just lie about who ate the last cookie. You obviously would say it was not you, it was your baby brother. Haa that would be funny because what if your baby brother can’t walk you have to make a lie for that reason to. When you make up one lie people start to question if you are trustworthy or not. You start to realize you have less friends and people don’t want to include you in secrets because they think you are a big mouth. When you choose to do the wrong thing there would always be consequences and the truth would eventually come out. The thing is you are only doing the right when you choose to accept your consequences and tell the truth. In my experience saying the truth could be hard because you know that when that truth comes out you would be in big problems, but when that day comes you would be glad you told the truth because you won’t be drown in that guilt you had for so long. However, there is this quote that goes like this “you could choose your sin, but you could not choose your consequences” so whatever you think is bad don’t do it because covering up that mistake with lies would just leave you with remorse.
