                                                " I WON'T CHEAT"
                             Image result for cheating
It doesn't, matter if you cheat on a test or if you cheat on a game, cheating is cheating and it is not right. Many people get away with cheating and think it is ok to do it again, but eventually it will catch up to you and the consequences will be bigger. It is rather true when you cheat you are cheating yourself, because in a test and in a game you are being tested for what you know so what if you are thought better than you are. People will expect you to be better and that won't be good because you hardly know what you did. That is if you want to do the right thing you should not cheat and do your best.

" Character Matters Most" Dale Murphy
                                         Image
For the record, what you do in life will build up a reputation. Sometimes what others think of you does not matter unless you yourself believes it is true. You might think winning all the touchdowns or baskets matter a lot because you will be titled as the number one player, but when your character comes forth it can either be a good thing or a bad thing. When I first meet someone I always notice if they are rude or timid and usually when they are rude, I know not to be friends with them. That is because character defines your personality and if I was to be friends with someone who does not value character what would be the point. IF you were to cheat on a test or game your character debases from 100 to 0 real quick. ;) If you try to be committed to being a CTR person it is guaranteed that you will have a good character in life and be successful.

  GOOD QUALITY PEOPLE
            - George Washington

George Washington was the first president of the United States of America. He has always left meaningful things in the past to reflect on, and one of them is his quote about who to associate with. That is “ Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation, for ‘tis better to be alone than with bad company.” We had already talked about this quote before but in depth situations don’t ever let bad influences surround you, because that gets you nowhere. If hanging out with bad people was a good thing don’t you think there wouldn’t be jails or anything to restrain bad guys. Well there is, so that tells you associating with bad quality people is not the right thing to do.

“ Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG is NEVER RIGHT”

This quote by Russell M. Nelson, is one of many lessons he tries to teach about right and wrong. Wrong is always going to be a bad decision, it is not right to believe if you smoke, cheat, or lie it is okay because everybody is doing it. This is a dumb thing to believe because the consequences you will face are so much different than everyone else’s consequences. If you smoke because your friend did, you will probably end up in the hospital and die because the effect of the drug was different. That is why you have to think about what you are risking when you choose to do the wrong thing everybody is doing. An example I can think of is when the teacher leaves the room and you are taking a test. Everyone would start asking for the answers of the test. That is a situation you are willing to risk, rather not do what everyone else is doing or tag along. I think it is a greater test to see if you are a CTW or CTR person. If you choose to not cheat your conscience is cleaner than the ones who did. Probably you will be granted and probably you will not, the greatest gift is knowing you chose the right.

“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education”                         By: Martin Luther King Jr.

When you are spoken about education, all you think of is the basics which is school, smarts and intelligence. That is only half true because when it comes to education we do not only learn about math and science, we are also taught how to behave. To be successful you need to be intelligent, but to be someone in life you also need to have a good personality. It can not be one or the other, because intelligence cannot run alone without character. People mostly because of who you are, and what you aspire to be. It is not right to want to become a teacher with a character that is not good. And it is not right to want to be the best football player when your grades are nearly as good as your skills. That is why in many schools you are required to have a grade of D or upper in order to play a sport. Because good sportsmanship is good character and good brains.

“It’s better to be alone, than to be with bad company”

                                                                               -Unknown

Being alone can mean a lot of things, you can be alone but have a lot of people around you, or you can be alone but have just that 1 person, or you could be alone and have nobody. Whichever the problem is, it is always better to be alone than with bad company, because later on in life having bad company includes fake people, and bad reputations. If you hang out with people who drink and party all the time people would see you as one of them even if you don’t drink. Having bad company can influence you to do the wrong choices you can not take back. So instead of having bad people surrounding you, it is a lot better to be alone or associate with good people who actually want to see you succeed in life. However, you cannot be lonely if you like the person you are alone with. I mean if you are happy about yourself you can have fun by yourself. You can become a better person by choosing the right and be with good people.

Challenges Teens Face Today

  1. What are several of the major challenges teens deal with today?
  • Peer pressure                                        - Depression
  • Drug addiction                                      - Not fitting in
  • Relationships                                        - Bullying
  • Academic problems                             - Eating DISORDERS
  1. What are one or two challenges YOU are dealing with and what are you doing about them?
Some challenges I am facing as a teen today are relationships among friends and academic problems. I am most likely trying to keep a small circle because last year having a lot of friends didn’t go so well. In school I get a lot of stress when I have a lot of homework to do, so I try to sort things out by doing what I feel confident about first.
  1. How does being a CTR person help you to overcome any challenges you may face?
Being a CTR person can help teens or any person overcome any challenges they may face because being a CTR person makes them good and brings them blessing when they choose the right. Basically when a challenge is approaching you deciding to do the right thing is important.
  1. How can you help other teens overcome their challenges?
I believe I can help other teens overcome their challenges by listening to them and share out their problems. AKA be there for them.

  • Reflection: What is the greatest need that teens have?
When it comes to needs and being a teen I think the greatest need they have is attention. I think every teens is always looking for someone who listens to them and is always there in both good and bad.

“ Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”

Physical fitness is an important way of keeping your body healthy and strong, so yes indeed it can help your dynamic and creative intellectual activity. An easy way you could improve your physical activity is by joining a sport. Sports are a major act of physical fitness, it keeps your heart pumping and muscles working. However, some ways that can affect your physical fitness is smoking and consuming drugs. Being a ctr person means you should avoid these types of negative consumptions and try your best to improve your life and others. When you look after your health you are helping others by keeping yourself healthy and strong for future tasks that others won’t be able of doing. Kindness is important when it comes to health because without kindness you won’t be happy and stress builds up. So in order to improve your physical fitness you should choose the right decisions.

f it is not right, do not do it, if it is not true, do not say it.”

This quote has nothing but good intentions to it.  If something’s not right why bother to even do it. There are times when we say things that are not true. I believe this can be justifiable if the reason you are not saying the truth is for a good reason. For example, if the reason you are lying is going to protect someone’s life then it is okay to not say the truth. However, when doing something that is not right for something that is inconsequential and unimportant there is no reason to put yourself in the wrong path. The only consequence that doing the wrong would lead you to is misery.

“A Good Name Is Better Than Anything You Can Achieve In This Life”
  • Coach K.

Being to achieve anything you ever dreamed of is a good feeling. Being a able to prove people wrong, and show that that you were capable of being successful is a good feeling. What is not a good feeling is to choose the wrong and be known as someone who did the wrong. Years later people would remember you as someone who chose the wrong and someone who was despicable. However, being remembered as a vivacious person who was very admirable is far more important than achieving your goals and being successful. Because it all depends on how you were able to achieve them. At the end the only thing that is left is your name, you don’t have a choice of telling people how to remember you after you are dead. Building a good name for yourself is what matters, money is temporary but your name is forever. Like many will say being known is far less important than what you are known for.;)
