Optometry Technician or Assistant  

Duties and Responsibilities: 
         The role of an optometrist is to examine the eyes and any part of the visual system. The diagnose vision problems and manage the disease of the patient. Being an optometrist technician you can also prescribe eyeglasses and lenses.  
Salary: 
The median pay for an optometrists as of May 2015 is $103, 900.  
Education: 
Most people who want to become an optometry technician or assistant need to complete and O.D degree and obtain a license to practice in that state. However, in order to obtain an O.D degree you also need a bachelor's degree.  
Demand or Need of Profession: 
In the next 10 years, about 27% of employments will increase for this type of job.  
 
Reflection: 
would not like to be an optometry technician because they mostly do examinations or surgeries on the yes and that is not my interest at the moment.

Optometrist 
                           
Responsibilities: 
         Examine the eye and other parts of the visual system. The often diagnose and treat eye problems and manage the disease or disorder. Optometrist can also prescribe glasses or contacts to patients.  
Salary: 
         As of May 2015 the annual pay was $103, 900.  
Education: 
        To become a optometrist you need to obtain a O.D degree and have a license to practice. However, some students also get a bachelor's degree to become more competitive.  
Demand or Need: 
       It is said that this profession will grow 27 percent in the next decade since vision gets worse by age and people will start to get older.  
Reflection: 
I rather not like to be an optometrist because it looks like an uninteresting career for my viewpoint.
