Student Success Statement By Alan Paton
"When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive."

It might have been a broken promise or a heartbreak that hurt you so much that you still remember how it hurt to this day.  The only way we can recover from that situation and move on with our live is to forgive the person. Forgive them even if it hurts you more than the actual injury because it is one step towards to your freedom. Once you learn to forgive people you feel lighter because you took a burden off your back.  If you were in a relationship that you thought was going to last forever and your partner ends up breaking every promise saying he'll never give up on you, then learn how to move on from that. Maybe it wasn't meant to be and greater things are arriving your way.  Think of it as one building block that you had to leave behind in order to get to the other block that heads to the top of the tower. You should also think as it wasn't that big of a deal so if you forgive him it wouldn't mean as much as you thought it would.

  GOOD QUALITY PEOPLE
            - George Washington

George Washington was the first president of the United States of America. He has always left meaningful things in the past to reflect on, and one of them is his quote about who to associate with. That is “ Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation, for ‘tis better to be alone than with bad company.” We had already talked about this quote before but in depth situations don’t ever let bad influences surround you, because that gets you nowhere. If hanging out with bad people was a good thing don’t you think there wouldn’t be jails or anything to restrain bad guys. Well there is, so that tells you associating with bad quality people is not the right thing to do.

               My Winter Break

During my winter break I spent time trying to finish all the episodes of The Vampire Diaries, which I did. Since I didn’t have homework I was capable of doing more stuff. For xmas eve I spent the night at my aunt's house for a family night. We ate and had a bonfire, 3 days after we celebrates my brother's birthday on the 27th. His cake was so delicious it was the first time I actually ate it all because i am not a fan of cake. I did my best not to text certain people and to spend more time going out. That's what I always say and I always end up staying at home. I went to the mall and ps. I bought shoes and a bomber jacket and some other apparel. I was happy to Know it was the first time I bought everything with my own money. I wanted to work for winter break but I wasn’t able to because it is hard to find a job for a 14 year old girl. For New Years eve we didn’t do that much of a celebration as other years but we stayed up till 12 and yeah. For the rest of the week we basically slept ate good food and duh watch movies. I recently started watching Girl Meets World from Disney channel. It is pretty cool and funny, I got sick during the last couple of days and so I had a 13 mile race which was the 1st race I passed Lissbeth. I would of liked to go out more with my friends but  sometimes it is better at home with not so fake surroundings.  I learned many lessons these couple of days and wish they’d help me grow throughout these months left of freshman year.
